Our second installment about our recent trip on Carnival’s Breeze.
At least that’s what I try to convince myself. One of my, and most travelers favorite activities is eating. From the time you board till the morning you leave, you can bet food, lots of food, will be available.
It all starts with heading to Lido deck after boarding for your first dining experience. If you are a fan of burgers, Guy’s Burgers are top rated. There are many toppings and ways to have it. It is hard to find a better burger anywhere, land or sea.
Carnival’s Breeze has 10 different restaurant options plus the main dinning room. From the Steakhouse to Bonsai Sushi you can try one different restaurant experience each day and not get to all on a seven day cruise. Don’t worry, cruising is good for your appetite (if not your waistline) and you can try something different throughout the day.
There are many dinning options for your main evening meal. Part of your original booking process included your choice of Early, Late or My Time dinning. We enjoy meeting new people and usually ask to be seated at a large table with others travelers. It’s a great way to meet and make new friends. This cruise found us joining with a family and their friends from Minnesota. We soon discovered that we had followed the same Facebook page about this cruise and had commented on some of the post over past months.
Each evening offers a different and wide range of options for your meal. If you have special diet restrictions or request, they will accommodate your needs. Specialty restaurants, for an addition fee, are also available. Sometimes it’s hard to make a decision on which appetizer, entree or desert to select. You are welcome to request multiple items as your taste and waist line will allow.
We were given the opportunity to tour the galley and have a food tasting. As you can imagine, feeding 3600 guest and 1400 crew is a major operation. The main hallway of the galley was so long, I was unable to se the far side.
It is amazing to see such a massive operation in progress. Each day requires 20 – 22,000 meals to be prepared and served.
A long time cruise meal favorite is lobster. They stock each cruise with 4000 lobsters. There is about 22,000 pounds of beef. And can you imagine have 700 pounds of ice cream in your freezer?

There is no reason to go hungry on a cruise. In fact it’s a challenge to sample all the wonderful culinary options. Another benefit of a cruise vacation.
