As the name indicates a Sea Day is when you are traveling the ocean blue. No port of call and a day to completely enjoy everything that a cruise ship offers.
There is something going on all the time. Games, classes and a multitude of outdoor activities. Or you may want some ME time at the Spa. For those who like slots or the tables, the casino will be happy to give you the opportunity to see what Lady Luck can do for you. The Carnival Hub App will show you daily activities that will take place and their times. In addition, your room steward will leave a paper in your room each evening that list everything for the next day.
Depending on the length of your cruise and the number of ports visited, you may have one or two sea days. It’s a great time to relax and just enjoy the atmosphere of cruising. While the pool, hot tubs and other outside areas are very popular on sea days, weather may send you inside. That’s ok, many things are taking place throughout the ship.
There are also opportunities for quiet places such as the library or outside on the Serenity Deck which is an adults only area.
If your cruise is close to a major holiday, you can bet there will be a theme and activities that complement the season. Our cruise on The Breeze took place over Halloween. The decor and the costumes worn by guest were a sight to see. Halloween evening included a costume contest that was loads of fun.

And there is nothing like a Sea Day, or any day on a ship for enjoying sunrise, sunset and perhaps a moonlight image that you’ll always remember.

As you can see, there is no shortage of things to do while cruising. In 2020 we will be doing a B2B – Back to Back cruise on two different ships. A 5 day on Carnival Sensation, followed by a 4 day on Carnival Victory. We look forward to reporting on that experience and these ships.
